The Aims and Objectives of Rangaprabhath:

  • Imparts proper training to aspiring child artists in theatre-arts such as acting, dancing and singing with a view to produce good theatre performers in all age groups.
  • Presents children’s plays of true merit with child or adult participants for audiences comprising mainly children.
  • Inculcates a clear concept of the children’s theatre among the interested workers of children’s theatre throughout the State by conducting workshops, seminars and creative discussions.
  • Keeps an open door to all the children of the locality without restrictions of age, sex, community or economic status so that really talented and desirous children can exploit fully, all the available facilities for proper artistic development.
  • Explores and devises, means of using theatre-art for education as an effective aid to the children in their curricular studies.
  • Conducts performances of children’s play with child members in as many schools in the State as possible, to provide real theatrical amusement to the children all over the State.
  • Strives for getting children’s theatre activity accepted as a co-curricular activity in schools.
  • Documents folk performing art forms in the locality.
  • Undertakes experiments in community education through the medium of entertainment.
  • Organizes regular workshops, training programmes, seminars, symposia on art, education, crafts, culture, etc.
  • Undertakes innovative programmes for children and offers them a ‘home-away-from-home’ and ‘a school-away-from-school’ experience.
  • Strives towards developing a community centre of art and craft for the village.
  • Emerges as innovators and experimenters in children’s education through arts.
  • Inculcates Gandhian values and vision in children, and influences the adults through children to develop a peaceful and just society as dreamt by Mahatma Gandhi.

Our Vision

The vision of the institution is to help growing children to discover their talents understand themselves and their surroundings, so that they grow into respectable adults. The programmes of Rangaprabhath help children to discover their talents capabilities which result in shaping their attitude towards life and enrich their personality. In brief holistic development of children through performing arts is the vision of the institution.

Rangaprabhath has setup a Balbhavan, New Delhi and its activities are monitored by the national Balbhavan. It has also affiliated to Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademy.

The Mission of the institution is to enhance the creative potential of children by providing them opportunities and a common platform to interest experiment, create and perform according to their age, attitude and ability it provides the children complete freedom to create and innovate also is a play away method. It also provide a stress free environment for its member children through drama, dance, music, creative art, photography, computer etc.
